Cameron ready to make an impact at Stadium MK

13 October 2020

Having joined MK Dons last Friday, Cameron Jerome says he’s ready to help Russell Martin’s side achieve their goals.

The striker has consistently scored goals throughout his career with the former Norwich City man ranking as one of the top goal scorers in EFL history.

Jerome noted that having a manager who knows his strengths can only benefit him and the team moving forward.

“Russell knows what I'm capable of doing. It’s no coincidence that I've played at a high level for a long time - I must be doing something right.

“As a striker, you want to score as many as possible but it's not just goals that is a part of my game - it's things people don't necessarily see or get recognition for.”

Jerome joins on a free transfer with his most recent stint coming in the top flight of Turkish football with Goztepe SK.

Despite the worldwide lockdown, the 34-year-old says he’s kept himself in shape and feels fresh and ready to play games.

“Lockdown was a big interruption. We trained throughout lockdown but it was difficult being out of the country - we got close to restarting but through different factors. I’m ready and raring to go.”
