Ben bags four awards

Ben Reeves was the big winner at the Player of the Year Awards on Tuesday evening, while Dean Lewington was named MK Dons’ Player of the Decade.

Reeves collected the Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year and MKDSA Player of the Year awards at tonight’s ceremony, as well as walking away with the Goal of the Season for his stunning strike against Stevenage.

Meanwhile, the award for Lewington capped off a memorable few days for the Dons ‘skipper, who made his 500th appearance for the Club in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Rotherham United.

Dons’ starlets Dele Alli and Brendan Galloway also collected honours for Young Player of the Year and Academy Player of the Year respectively, while goalkeeper David Martin was named Community Ambassador of the Year.

Former right-back Jon Otsemobor, who was unable to attend the ceremony due to footballing commitments, claimed the Goal of the Decade title for his ‘Heel of God’ against AFC Wimbledon last season.

The other winners on the night were Ross Pike, named MKDSA Disability Player of the Year, and Claire Hollingsworth, who took home the Ladies Player of the Year award for her performances this season.
