Tis backing Boateng to make his mark

Manager confident that his summer signing will be a key player this term...

Paul Tisdale is backing Hiram Boateng to make his mark in the MK Dons midfield.

Boateng has made 14 appearances since arriving from Exeter City in the summer and has one goal and one assist to his name.

When meeting with the media ahead of Saturday’s clash with Burton Albion, Tisdale spoke highly of his midfielder and expressed confidence in the 23-year-old to have a major impact this term.

“He has shown already why I was keen to sign him,” Tisdale said in his pre-match press conference ahead of this weekend’s match at Stadium MK.

“I'm happy with what he has done but I'm confident of more to come. He's shown some really exciting glimpses but he is yet to do it consistently but that’s to be expected – dropping into a new team and the nuances of developing new connections on the pitch throw up a lack of clarity sometimes.

“He's a good chap who wants to do well and he's made of the right stuff. I'm fully behind him and he'll be a big part of what we do this season.”

Saturday's match with Burton Albion has been designated as the Club’s first Family Fun Day of the campaign, meaning tickets are priced from just £10 adults and £1 under-18s, with upgrades available to East Centre and clubRed.

What’s more, a host of activity will take place prior to kick-off in the Marshall Arena for supporters of all ages to enjoy, while the popular Mascot Race returns at half-time.
