Kieran keen to kick on at home

7 November 2016

Kieran Agard wants MK Dons to kick on at Stadium MK after finally securing their first home win of the season.

Agard scored his sixth goal of the season on Saturday to help lift the men from MK1 to a 3-2 victory over Spennymoor Town in the First Round of the Emirates FA Cup – the Club’s first win at Stadium MK since early March.

“It’s been coming, we’ve always said that,” Agard told MK Dons PlayerHD after the win. “It’s come today and hopefully we can take it into the league now.

Agard’s finish was one of three scored by the Dons in the first 15 minutes and at that point of his goal, many were expecting a comfortable victory.

“Everyone has got to stay positive. We’ve got some big games coming up so we can’t dwell on the past, we’ve got to keep looking forward.”

“We know certain parts haven’t been good enough this season but we’ve all worked hard to try and make it right.

“Fair play to them, they’ve come here and given us a game but we caused most of the problems ourselves to be fair.”

“We’ve just got to learn to keep it going. We worked all week on a fast start. We came out, were very attacking and it paid off with the three goals. We should have kept our foot on the pedal and kept it going.

Instead, opponents Spennymoor Town came back into the contest but Agard & Co held on for the win.
