Mixed emotions for Robbo

9 March 2016

Karl Robinson was left with mixed emotions following the Dons’ draw at Charlton Athletic.

While the 35-year-old was pleased to back up the win over QPR, he was slightly disappointed his side couldn’t capitalise on their dominance, particularly in the first half.

“We should have won,” he said. “We got in some great areas in the first half and other than the last 15 minutes, we looked very comfortable.

“We looked the better team and we're disappointed. We deserved a lot more than we got from the game. It would be hard to pick a bad player for us, we're just so disappointed not to have scored.”

The point, coupled with defeats for Fulham and Bristol City, has moved the men from MK1 to within the two aforementioned clubs.

He said: “Everyone has come back to us in the table, which is good, but we need to nick a few wins here and there. We're playing well and my players' attitude has been excellent. We know it doesn't come much harder than Saturday (Hull away).

“We've got two clean sheets in a row now, and when you look at us recently, we've played well. My players hung on and showed tremendous fight.”

Heading into the final 10 games of the season, Robinson had this message: “It's going to be a rollercoaster. We're going to give this club every ounze of our lives.”
