Doncaster heading in the ‘One Direction’
Louis Tomlinson, a member of the band One Direction, and John Ryan are the new owners of Doncaster Rovers after completing their takeover of the club.

The singer and former chairman Ryan, who left the club last November after 15 years, will assume ownership of Donny on 18th July.

Walsall bring in Bradshaw
Walsall have signed striker Tom Bradshaw on a free transfer from Shrewsbury Town.

The 21-year-old turned down the offer of a new contract with the Shrews and has put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal at Bescot Stadium.

The Saddlers have also signed former Derby County defender James O’Connor on a free transfer.

O’Connor has agreed a one-year deal with the club having been released by the Sky Bet Championship play-off finalists as the end of last season.

Fleetwood seal Southern signing
Newly-promoted Fleetwood Town have agreed a deal to sign experienced midfielder Keith Southern.

Southern will join the Cod Army when his current deal at Huddersfield Town expires on 30th June.

Deepdale switch for attacking duo
Preston North End have signed Jordan Hugill from Port Vale for an undisclosed fee and agreed a deal to bring Northern Ireland international Andy Little to Deepdale. 

Hugill, 22, has penned a two-year deal with the Lilywhites after helping the Valiants secure a ninth place finish in League 1 last season.

Little also joins on a two-year deal, having spent the past eight years with Glasgow Rangers.

Scunthorpe sign Bishop from Blackpool
Scunthorpe have signed experienced midfielder Neal Bishop on a two-year deal.

The former Notts County captain, who left Blackpool after deciding against exercising an option in his contract, becomes the Iron’s second new arrival since their promotion to League 1.

Vale bank on Lloyd
Midfielder Ryan Lloyd has signed a new one-year deal with Port Vale.

The 20-year-old, who came through the Valiants’ youth system, was out of contract at Vale Park but was offered a new deal after impressing manager Micky Adams in his two first-team starts at the end of last season.

Town swoop for striker Tomlin
Crawley Town have signed Gavin Tomlin from Sky Bet League 1 rivals Port Vale for an undisclosed fee.

The 30-year-old scored six goals in 28 games last season and becomes Red Devils boss John Gregory’s sixth summer signing.

2014/15 fixtures revealed
The 24 Sky Bet League 1 teams discovered when they will face each other last Wednesday when the full fixture lists were revealed.

The pick of the opening day ties include Yeovil Town versus Doncaster Rovers, Leyton Orient versus Chesterfield and Sheffield United against Bristol City, the latter of which will be shown live on Sky Sports. 

Josh joins Gillingham
Gillingham have signed midfielder Josh Pritchard from Fulham on a two-year deal.

The former Manchester United trainee featured regularly for the Cottagers’ Under-21s side last season but failed to make the breakthrough into the first-team. He becomes the Gill’s fifth signing of the summer.

Morsy commits to Chesterfield
Chesterfield midfielder Sam Morsy has signed a new two-year contract at Proact Stadium.

The 22-year-old was named the Spireties Player of the Year last season as helped them secure promotion to Sky Bet League 1.
