Atletico Madrid take on their city rivals Real in the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday but 11 years ago they visited Milton Keynes to take on a Danny-Wilson led MK Dons side in a friendly.
The Spanish giants took on the Dons at the National Hockey Stadium in late July 2005, ahead of the 2005/06 League One campaign, and ran-out 3-0 winners.
In the Madrid squad that afternoon were the likes of Mateja Kezman and striker Fernando Torres, who could feature for Los Colchoneros in tonight’s final, which takes place at the San Siro.
