The MK Dons Supporters' Board recently concluded two productive afternoons interviewing candidates for the vacancy on the Board.
From an initial pool of 38 applicants, we had the privilege of interviewing 7 candidates spanning a wide range of ages, from 20 to 70 years old. The interviewees represented various sections of Stadium MK, including the Community Stand, Cowshed, East Stand, Club Red, and Club Platinum. It was inspiring to see candidates travel from different parts of the country to participate in the process.
What struck us most was the unwavering passion each candidate exhibited for our club. Their profound affection and eagerness to contribute left a lasting impression on us all. Throughout the interviews, they shared their insights on what they cherish about the club, areas they believe need improvement, and how they envision aiding in the process. Every idea presented was valuable, and we have compiled them for further discussion at our upcoming meeting.
We are thrilled to announce that Ed Finn has been offered the role and has graciously accepted. He will join us for our next meeting in April. It's worth noting that our supporters' board operates on a rolling membership policy, so we anticipate welcoming some of the other candidates to join us in the future.
When informed of his successful application, Ed commented “I’m really excited and proud to join the Supporters’ Board. Having been a season ticket holder and travelled all over the country following the Dons since the move to MK 20 years ago, following the club is a big part of my life. I have professional experience in public event planning and working with community groups, so I hope I can bring some real value to the Board.”
We're grateful to have had a representative from the MKDSA participate in the interviews. Many of the candidates expressed interest in supporting the great work undertaken by MKDSA, which is a significant bonus for us all.
