Academy starlet Hugo Logan has been involved with the first team for two years now but has been forced to wait for his chance to play due to his age.
This season, however, Logan is eligible to play and Robinson took the opportunity to include him in his squad to face Cambridge United on Tuesday evening – introducing the England Under-17 international as a substitute in the 68th minute.
“I wanted to play him a little bit more last year but he was too young,” Robinson told MK Dons Player. “He’s somebody with lovely ability, he’s a wonderful mover and he understands the game.
“He’s not somebody who just turns up and plays, he thinks about the game and he dissects it. He watches a lot of continental football and he bases his style around that. I feel we’re the perfect fit for him.
“He’s an exceptionally gifted individual with an incredible amount of learning still to do, as well as developing physically and mentally. Where he’s at now compared to where he can be is really exciting for the Football Club.”
