MK Dons Ladies started their 2013/14 South East Combination League campaign with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Ipswich Town.
Despite missing several key players through illness, injury and work commitments, the Dons Ladies came from behind to record an opening day win thanks to goals from new signing Eden Washington, Emily Mann and Jess Cutting (pictured).
John Dyer’s side, who found themselves 2-1 down at break after a couple of defensive errors, turned things around in the second half courtesy of Mann, in only her first start since picking up an injury in pre-season, and Cutting, who just recently graduated from the Under-17s Centre of Excellence Squad.
The Ladies will now look to build on last weekend’s result when they travel to Enfield Town this Sunday afternoon.
