O'Keefe calls for a winning mentality

7 April 2017

Stuart O’Keefe wants MK Dons to develop a winning habit before the end of the season.

The men from MK1 have won three of their last four matches to climb up into the top half of the Sky Bet League One table and the on-loan midfielder wants that form to continue over the final three weeks of the campaign.

“Winning is such a good habit to get into,” O’Keefe told MK Dons PlayerHD.

“It’s always a good feeling when you win – you can’t beat it – so if we can maintain that then it will be a great stepping stone for the club heading into next season.”

“We’ve got another tough away game on Saturday because they are fighting for their lives but hopefully we can put in another good performance and come away with another three points to keep this run going.”

“I hadn’t won away from home before (Tuesday) so it was really pleasing.

The 26-year-old, who has three goals to his name in 13 appearances, now hopes to add another road victory to his name this weekend at Swindon Town.

O’Keefe was speaking after Tuesday’s 2-0 victory over Charlton Athletic – his first away success since joining the Dons on loan from Cardiff City.
