Scott Wootton looks set to bounce back in 2017/18 after injury disrupted his first season at Stadium MK.
The centre-back signed a two-year deal with the Club last summer after leaving Sky Bet Championship outfit Leeds United but suffered a serious knee injury in August – an injury which kept him sidelined for the entire campaign.
Spending the offseason at Stadium MK, the former Manchester United trainee received the all-clear in July and all-being well will return to the first-team fold at the start of the 2017/18 season.
The defender actually began his career with Tranmere Rovers but eventually ended up with Manchester United after a three-year spell with Liverpool.
Wootton made four appearances for the Red Devils, including two in the UEFA Champions League. During his time at Old Trafford, he also enjoyed loan spells at Tranmere Rovers, Peterborough United and Nottingham Forest,
In August 2014, Wootton joined Leeds United for an undisclosed fee, penning a three-year deal with the Yorkshire-men.
He went on to play 80 times for the Whites before departing this past June, and subsequently moving to Stadium MK on a deal which will run until June 2018.
