MK Dons are delighted to announce the arrival of versatile attacker Connor Lemonheigh-Evans as the club’s first signing of the summer transfer window. Connor will join MK Dons upon expiry of his contract at Stockport County, with the deal subject to League and FA clearance.

At 27-years-old, Lemonheigh-Evans makes his fourth permanent professional transfer as he arrives at Stadium MK from former Sky Bet League Two champions, Stockport County.

Throughout a two-year stint at his previous Club, the attacker enjoyed a successful season at Edgeley Park last term, amounting a total of nine goal contributions within 22 appearances, which supported Stockport in being crowned 2023/24 Sky Bet League Two champions.

During his seven-year senior career, Connor boasts two promotions across his total of 229 appearances throughout both EFL and National League competitions before joining MK Dons as he seeks to add to his achievements.

On signing terms at Stadium MK, Lemonheigh-Evans said “I’m really happy to get this deal done!

“I’m really excited to get going and to see what the next couple of years will bring.

“I spoke to the manager and other people within the Club, and they all made it clear on the ambition that the Club has, the way they want to go about things and the style of play to achieve that. I think it all really suits me.

“I now want to get my head down, work hard and see what next season will bring.”

On what to expect in the player arriving at Stadium MK, Connor explained “Ultimately, I’m very hard working, versatile as I’ve played in a lot of different positions, and I like to think that I add quality to the squad.

“I want to contribute goals, assists and ultimately help the Club to achieve what everyone here wants to achieve.”

Lemonheigh-Evans continued to say “I felt like I needed to go somewhere where I had the best opportunity to achieve what I did last season. I believe being here will give me the best chance to achieve another promotion.

“I want to get promoted again. I want to bring quality and help the team as much as possible to achieve that.”

Finally, Connor Lemonheigh-Evans shared his message to the MK Dons fans ahead of the upcoming 2024/25 season:

“I’m looking forward to them getting right behind us as that will give us even more of a chance to go and achieve something. I look forward to seeing them and hopefully we can all achieve it together.”

MK Dons Head Coach Mike Williamson shared his thoughts on the first arrival of the summer:

“I’m really pleased to get this deal over the line and welcome Connor to Stadium MK.

“Connor was a clear priority for us as not only does he bring an abundance of quality, but he’s a proven winner and adds a vast amount of experience into the squad.

“We’ve already seen what he is capable of achieving and we’re really excited about adding him into our team.”
