MK Dons SET were delighted to have the outstanding contribution to Community Sport that the Sports & Education Trust provide throughout Milton Keynes.

SET’s Chief Executive Officer Maralyn Smith was invited to attend a reception with Rt Hon Ben Everitt (MP) and Rt Hon Lucy Frazer KC MP Secretary of State for Culture Media and Sport to discuss the work that MK Dons SET deliver to over 55,00 participants annually.

The programmes delivered positively impact members of the community throughout all ages and ability levels. In particular, Maralyn talked about the strong development of the Girls and Women’s game in Milton Keynes.

SET’s CEO also mentioned the award-winning Knife Angel programme where 4000 children in MK were supported by the Club and Trust to learn about how they can keep themselves safe and get involved in positive activities within the community.

Maralyn Smith had this to say about the occasion “It was a privilege for the MK Dons SETs work to be recognised as Community Sport Champions.

“MK Dons SET provides 37 different community programmes using the power of sport to engage the community. Recognition from Rt Hon Ben Everitt MP and Rt Hon Lucy Frazer KC MP Secretary of State is a huge endorsement for the work of MK Dons SET provides for Milton Keynes communities.”
