Dean Lewington is amongst the nominees for the Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month award for the December campaign.
Lewington supported MK Dons as the team completed a flawless league run throughout December, which saw them concede just one goal in their four games played.
The Dons Captain, amongst his fellow defenders, managed to sustain three clean sheets during the month. In turn, MK Dons collected nine points throughout the festive period. Currently one point off claiming a Play-Off spot.
During this impressive stint, Lewington also achieved a monumental milestone as the defender cemented his name in the EFL history books for breaking John Trollope’s former record as the player who has amounted the most league appearances for a single club.
Dean Lewington has been nominated alongside Macaulay Langstaff (Notts County), Kieron Morris (Tranmere Rovers) and Ben Whitfield (Barrow). The winner of this accolade will be announced on Friday 12 Jan at 6:00am.
