Anthony Stewart shares his thought on his Stadium MK return for the season ahead…

Anthony Stewart returned to MK Dons on a second loan deal for the Club following his first stint in January last season.

Stewart, the Aberdeen Centre-Half, who has featured within the Scottish Professional Football League, saw a deadline day loan move to MK Dons in the final stages of the window.

Much like last season’s January transfer window, the 30-year-old got his loan move to Milton Keynes during deadline day.

“It’s a pleasure to be back. It’s a good club, and a club that showed faith in me, so it’s time for me to repay that.” The defender said on his Stadium MK return.

Stewart continued “I heard of their interest in the last week of the transfer window. I always had my sights set on coming back here, so it's worked out.

“It's a long distance so getting everything packed up and making the drive down was a bit too far! But ultimately, this is where I wanted to be, so I'm buzzing.”

Anthony first joined MK Dons on January 31, but an injury setback saw the player side-lined for multiple weeks. Stewart saw his Dons debut against his former club Wycombe Wanderers at Adams Park.

The returning loanee amounted five appearances at the back end of last season, but looks to “help the boys in their task” as much as possible this time around.

“It's all about this year and helping the boys out I can in any way. We've got a great management team, and I just want to move forward. The aim is promotion.

"Everyday counts, we have to do everything we can this season and hopefully at the end of the season, it will mean promotion.

"I'm relishing the task, working with the boys and the staff.”
