Milton Keynes Dons Women announce the departures of Renai Bennett and Tally Miles from the club...

MK Dons Women can confirm the departure of both Rennai Bennett and Tally Miles.

Renai Bennett, 18 – joined the club as part of the Under-14’s in the (then) Regional Talent Centre, continuing to impress within the Girl’s Pathway. Bennett made 18 appearance for the Under-23’s last season, scoring 10 goals whilst also featuring 7 times for the first team in the most successful season to date.

Tally Miles, 19 – initially joined the club on a dual-registration agreement with Royston Town during the 2021/22 season, whilst being attached as part of the Arsenal Women Under 21’s programme. Miles impressed during this spell, and the move was made permanent in December 2022.

The defender established herself as a regular figure in the Dons back-line. Across the past three seasons, Miles made 46 appearances, scoring 2 goals with one in the illustrious 3-0 victory away at Fratton Park during the 2021/22 campaign.

Following the two departures – Manager, Charlie Bill commented:

“This week, we have all sent our goodbyes to two players in the group, Renai Bennett and Tally Miles. In my previous role as RTC Centre Manager, I was fortunate enough to work with Renai when she first joined the club – and it has been really rewarding to have witnessed her development over the past few years, playing an important role in the Under 23’s and earning herself several opportunities to feature with the first team.

“Renai’s move to Peterborough is one that I fully support, in a bid for her to gain a greater amount of senior minutes in a highly-competitive setting. Tally initially joined as a dual-registration with Royston Town and was handed with the opportunity to become a regular starter here at MK, following an injury crisis.

“During that time, Tally impressed and has been a regular feature in the squad ever-since, scoring important goals during the 2021/22 season whereby we escaped relegation, and performing in big games last season to help us to our best-ever finish at tier-3.”

“There has been a massive amount of recognition been made across the past week for both Renai, and Tally across the group, which is very well deserved – and I personally, would like to wish them the very best for their next adventures. I will be keeping an eye on their development across the rest of the season.”

On behalf of Milton Keynes Dons Women, we would like to thank both Renai and Tally for their hard-work and dedication over the past few seasons. We wish them all the best in their new endeavours."
