Jack Payne’s powerful free-kick against Bradford City, which was the second Dons goal scored in a 4-1 victory at Stadium MK is amongst the nominations for EFL’s Sky Bet League Two October Goal of the Month award.
Once Joe Tomlinson opened his MK Dons account, as well as the scoring within the Bradford City clash, Payne was presented with an opportunity from a dead ball position located in the midway point of Bradford’s half.
The number 11’s left-footed strike from range rocketed past Harry Lewis, who couldn’t help but watch it fly into the back of his net as the former Bantam restored the lead for the Stadium MK side.
The Dons went on to win this game 4-1, which also saw Mike Williamson’s first victory at the helm of MK Dons.
