Player of the Year announced at The Awards 2023

3 May 2023

Jamie Cumming has been voted MK Dons Men’s Player of the Year for 2022/23, while Chloe Sansom is the MK Dons Women’s Player of the Year.

Cumming, who was also named Men’s Players’ Player of the Year, has been ever-present for the Dons in the league this season and has kept 14 clean sheets across 53 appearances in all competitions.

Fellow goalkeeper Sansom collected the honour after receiving the majority of votes from supporters – the first time the Women’s Player of the Year award has been selected in this manner. Captain Sansom kept eight clean sheets in 30 games during the 2022/23 campaign.

It was Hannah Warren who walked away as the Women’s Players’ Player of the Year, chosen by her teammates as the standout performer this term.

Mo Eisa and Angelina Nixon collected the respective Men’s and Women’s Goal of the Season honours with Eisa and Mollie Coupar taking home the Top Goalscorer honours.

Young Player of the Year – an award, voted for by the MK Dons Supporters Association, which recognises the best performing player who began the season under the age of 21 – was claimed by Conor Grant, with goalkeeper Ronnie Sandford being named Academy Player of the Year.

The night began with a Chairman’s Award honour for MK Dons Women’s club captain Laura Bright, who was forced to retire this season due to injury.

Other awards saw Tom Dawson and Louis Brace recognised as Fan of the Year and Young Fan of the Year, respectively. Rhianne Rush was named Community Ambassador and Scott Brissenden became latest winner of the Disability Player of the Year honour.
