Loan round-up: MK Dons loanees approach their final few games

All the up-to-date news on MK Dons’ loanees…

Although a handful of MK Dons loanees recently returned to Stadium MK, few remained at their respective loan clubs until the end of their 2022/23 season.

Dan Kemp suffered an injury prior to Hartlepool United’s penultimate clash against Barrow. This meant that the winger’s loan was cut short, and he returned to Stadium MK before the Pool’s final game of the season.

Despite a 3-1 victory over Barrow, results elsewhere within Sky Bet League Two meant that Hartlepool were relegated out of the English Football League.

Sutton United faced Rochdale, which produced a 4-1 defeat for the U’s at the Crown Oil Arena. Matt Dennis wasn’t named within the matchday squad, but the young forward could still feature in Sutton’s season finale against Carlisle.

Oxford City suffered a 2-1 defeat to the hands of Bath City in their final league fixture of the current campaign. However, other fixtures played into Oxford’s hands, which resulted in a remarkable third-place finish for the Hoops. This was City’s highest finish during their six-year tenure within the league.

Jack Davies started in the season finale, but he is yet to return to Stadium MK as the young defender will join Oxford City in their preparation for the Vanarama National League South Play-Off Semi-Final.

UPCOMING FIXTURES

Oxford City (Jack Davies) – Worthing/Braintree Town – Sun 7 May – KO 3:30pm
Sutton United (Matt Dennis) – Carlisle – Mon 8 May – KO 12:30pm
