Darragh Burns has been named in the Republic of Ireland Under-21s squad for their June internationals.

Burns, receiving his first Ireland call-up since March 2022, will report for duty this Saturday ahead of three friendly matches which are all set to take place in Austria.

Ireland Under-21s will face Gabon Under-23s on Tuesday 13 June (KO 5pm) before taking on Ukraine Under-21s three days later on Friday 16 June (KO 5pm). They will end their schedule with a fixture against Kuwait Under-22s on Monday 19 May (KO 4pm).

Burns is yet to make his debut for Ireland at Under-21s level, having been an unused substitute on his one previous call-up back in March 2022. He has, though, represented Ireland at Under-17s level.
