Warren O’Hora is set to miss the remainder of the season after undergoing surgery on a foot injury.

O’Hora limped out of the Sky Bet League One fixture with Lincoln City earlier this month and Mark Jackson has confirmed his central defender is unlikely to feature again in the 2022/23 campaign.

“Warren underwent surgery the other day and he’s probably going to be out for the rest of the season,” the MK Dons Head Coach said in his post-match press conference, following the 1-0 defeat to Shrewsbury Town.

“He had a small fracture on his foot after an impact injury with his landing so we had to see the specialist. Unfortunately for us, and for him, he needed to go in for surgery.

“It’s a big blow for us but he’s come through (the operation) successfully and he’s on the road to recovery now.

“You saw him up at Forest Green on Saturday – you can’t keep him away! He wants to be there, he wants to lead and even though he won’t be available for selection, he’ll still play a massive part for us.”

Jackson added: “It’s a position we’re going to have to look at in the transfer or loan market.”
