Josh McEachran says MK Dons must move on quickly from Tuesday’s defeat and turn their focus to this weekend’s trip to Sheffield Wednesday.
The Dons were beaten 5-0 by Bolton Wanderers in midweek but have an opportunity to respond on Saturday – albeit against an Owls side who sit second in the Sky Bet League One table and are unbeaten in 18 league matches.
“We've got to quickly move on because we've got another big game on Saturday,” McEachran, who donned the armband against Bolton, said in his post-match interview with iFollow MK Dons.
“It's a massive test but it's one we have to bounce back in. We still want to go there, dominate the ball and create the chances. We're looking forward to it.”
Reflecting on Tuesday’s loss, the midfielder said: “Everyone's obviously very disappointed and it's hard to take.
“We conceded after seven minutes from a set-piece and then we did it again - we shot ourselves in the foot.
“On another night, yes they've scored five, but we could have had four or five ourselves - we need to be more clinical moving forwards.”
