Loan round-up: Kemp at the double

All the up-to-date news on MK Dons’ loanees…

Kemp’s brace obtained a come-from-behind draw against AFC Wimbledon, Ilunga provided his fourth assist within three consecutive games and Dennis made back-to-back appearances off the bench.

Dan Kemp has recorded a total of three goals within his short time at Hartlepool United, two of which have been achieved from free-kicks.

In Hartlepool’s most-recent Saturday fixture, AFC Wimbledon took a 2-0 lead eight minutes after the interval, but 20 minutes later, Kemp’s set-piece halved the deficit. The winger then provided late drama after his header in the dying stages of the match completed his brace and brought the game level.

Having been 2-0 down, Kemp’s equaliser in the final seconds of injury time at the Cherry Red Records Stadium secured a point. This was then followed by a home defeat within their mid-week fixture against Newport County.

Brooklyn Ilunga supported Wealdstone with his third and fourth assist in their Vanarama National league battle against York City. The MK Dons loanee first helped open the scoring with a cross into the area, which was finished by Corrie Andrews. His assist tally was then later multiplied, which helped secure all three points at Grosvenor Vale.

The young Don, who recently signed a new deal to remain at Stadium MK, made his fifth consecutive start in a 1-1 draw against Chesterfield on Tuesday evening.

Sutton United have been victorious within their previous two league matches, Matt Dennis took to the field as a substitute during both of these fixtures.

The young forward still awaits his full debut for the U’s, but his impact in the latter stages ensured that Sutton were awarded with six points in their recent games against Swindon Town and Doncaster Rovers.

Edward Gyamfi achieved his tenth start for Bedford Town in their league clash against Stourbridge. However, this milestone was followed by a narrow 2-1 home defeat.

The Eagles also suffered mid-week disappointment against Stratford Town, which resulted in a fourth straight loss for the Southern Central Division One side.

Following their recent fixtures, Oxford City have increased their unbeaten streak to ten. Although Jack Davies has remained on the bench for both Saturday and Tuesday night.

Ronnie Sandford is still side-lined with injury. However, the young goalkeeper has recently returned to training and expects to be back within the action soon.

Charlie Waller was awarded with a place in the AFC Rushden & Diamonds starting line-up against Needham Market. Unfortunately, a 2-0 loss was the end result. Fellow scholar Joel Anker was also named within the starting XI that night.

Waller recevied his first full home debut at Hayden Road as the young Dons duo cemented their place in the squad for the following skirmish against Hednesford Town. Alas, back-to-back defeats for the Diamonds has currently placed them bottom of the Southern Central Premier Division table.
