Brooklyn Ilunga provided back-to-back assists for Wealdstone in two consecutive game weeks. The young MK Dons loanee first contributed to the winning goal in the Stones’ 1-0 victory over Dagenham & Redbridge.
This week, Ilunga played a sublime ball over-the-top to cut past the defence of the arguable promotion favourites, Wrexham. This granted the travelling team with their one and only goal as they fell to the hands of the Welsh side in a 3-1 defeat at The Racecourse Ground.
The Pool then used this momentum to draw and gain a point from the match, having been 2-0 down within the first 30 minutes.
Junior played a full 90-minute fixture against Ilkeston Town. Unfortunately, Bedford Town’s two-goal lead was thwarted by the opposition, whose greater advantage of three gifted them with the points.
Joel Anker started for AFC Rushden & Diamonds in their skirmish against Barwell. The Diamonds suffered a narrow 1-0 defeat, which has now placed them bottom of the Southern Central Premier Division table.
Matt Dennis, Charlie Waller and Jack Davies were all unused substitutes for their respective teams in the previous weekend of fixtures.
Ronnie Sandford still remains out of Hertford Town’s squad due to an injury suffered a few weeks ago
