Lawrence: Facing teams in & around us

Henry Lawrence shared his thoughts ahead of the Lincoln City Sky Bet League One clash…

28 February 2023

Prior to MK Dons’ Tuesday night trip to the LNER Stadium, Henry Lawrence spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the upcoming fixtures from now until the end of the season.

Since his loan transfer to Stadium MK from his parent club Chelsea last summer, Lawrence has made a total of 30 appearances across all competitions.
The young defender, as well as the Dons currently find themselves placed within the relegation zone. Although, a victory against Lincoln City will see them ascend above the bottom four.

“We can’t dwell on the past few games” Lawrence said as Mark Jackson’s men look to prevent their fourth consecutive league loss. “We’ve got 13 games left and we’re playing teams that are in and around our position.
“It has been mentally tough after recent results, but there’s positives we can build on as we head into this run of fixtures. We need to prepare properly and get the points we need to climb out of the relegation zone, which I’m confident we can achieve.”
Although he has been ruled out of this match, club captain Dean Lewington has returned to training this week following an injury which has side-lined him for up to three months. When asked about his fellow defender, the Chelsea loanee replied:
“Skipp’s return will be massive for us. Having his personality, as well as his experience around the group only benefits the team as we look forward to these games.”
