Sullay Kaikai shared his thoughts with the press and discussed his first goal in an MK Dons shirt, as well as looking ahead to Tuesday night’s tough test against Bolton Wanderers.
Kaikai has featured in every game since signing for Mark Jackson’s side during the January transfer window. The winger has amounted a total of three appearances whilst contributing a goal within his most-recent fixture for the Dons.
Within the recent league draw against Oxford United, the number 24 opened the scoring, as well as his tally for MK Dons. Kaikai commented “I’m pleased to get off the mark.
“The practice and repetition within training allows you to get the technique of the finish right. From there, it’s about keeping your cool during a game situation to show that. To be able to get that first goal is really pleasing to me.”
On his time at Stadium MK so far, the winger added “I’ve found it a good experience and I’m enjoying my time here. Not only that, but I’m really enjoying my football at the moment too, and I want that to keep going.
“It’s been really easy for me to settle in with the group of players and staff we have around and I’m grateful that I’ve been given the early opportunity to hit the ground running.”
Following back-to-back league games undefeated, MK Dons will look towards their next test at they travel to the University of Bolton Stadium. When questioned on the upcoming clash against a current top-four side, the number 24 had this to say “I don’t see why we can’t beat them.
“We have a strong squad and I feel like we can compete against anyone in this league, I think it will come down to who sets up better and performs on the day.”
