Don Deal: Zoe Barratt completes move to MK Dons Women

23 February 2023

Milton Keynes Dons Women are delighted to announce the re-signing of Zoe Barratt from Ipswich Town on a permanent basis.

Barratt, 20, becomes the latest addition to Charlie Bill’s squad, re-joining the club following a three-year spell at Ipswich Town.

The former RTC graduate scored 13 goals in 20 appearances in her final season with the Dons, before moving on to Ipswich Town in the summer of 2019. She netted 12 times in 42 games for the Tractor Girls but has now made the permanent move back to Stadium MK.

Barratt has been limited to just six appearances this term with only two starts, however, is eager to show her clinical edge following the confirmation of her transfer, and availability for selection ahead of the trip to Gloucestershire this evening (Thursday).

The tenacious forward told mkdons.com: "After being sidelined for a prolonged period pre-Christmas, I’ve worked hard to get myself back to full fitness, and I'm really excited to be joining MK Dons where I can't wait to start training and playing with the rest of the squad. Hopefully I can bring something different to the team and contribute towards the remaining games.

"Having previously been part of the club’s Regional Talent Centre before my time at Ipswich, there are a number of coaches at the club I still know and that obviously played a big part in my decision to come here."

Head Coach Charlie Bill added: “We are so pleased to bring Zoe into this squad. As soon as we heard there was potential that she was looking to move on we acted quickly. I have coached Zoe previously and she shows all of our values - she is an extremely hard-working individual who constantly wants to improve her all round game.

"We have seen first-hand the quality she possess and has had real success in Tier 3 for the past 18 months. It is now about supporting her to get back to her top level and help push us up this league.

"There has been a real buzz around the group getting Zoe in and I know she is a player who is respected highly from all involved at MK Dons Women.”

Zoe is an exciting attacking player who can play a variety of roles. Her versatility will be a huge addition to MK Dons Women, where Zoe will be keen to show her attacking quality in our upcoming games at Stadium MK.
