Norman: Proving yourself

Cameron Norman shared his thoughts ahead of the Crawley Town clash…

15 August 2023

MK Dons defender Cameron Norman shared his thoughts ahead of the Sky Bet League Two fixture against Crawley Town at Broadfield Stadium.

Cameron Norman, the second Stadium MK summer signing following the return of Alex Gilbey, spoke with the press ahead of the Tuesday evening trip to Crawley.

The defender deemed the upcoming match a ‘tough’ test for Graham Alexander’s men, who seek to achieve their third consecutive league victory since the start of the 2023/24 campaign.

Norman shared his thoughts ahead of the skirmish: “Places like Crawley, especially on a Tuesday night, are tough places to go.

“We were able to play really well in the first-half on Saturday, but I can assure you tomorrow night will not be like that. You've got to prove yourself through all these tests that come our way.

“Crawley will be a difficult game, as it will be on Saturday as well, so it's about taking it one game at a time and applying ourselves in the right way.”

Following his thoughts about the third league fixture of the season, Cameron Norman gave an insight into his start at MK Dons so far.

“The group has been great, we've all bonded. We've got some really good characters and we're in a good place.” The number two said when asked about settling in at Stadium MK.

He added “We’ve come here to make a difference. We've got a hunger for the games - we're all excited for the games, and we're all striving to be successful.”

Moving onto the start that the team have had collectively, which has seen them gain six points from two games played, Norman mentioned “It's hard to deny it has been a good, strong start. Across both games, and we're happy with our performances.

“We'll have to show a lot of resilience throughout the course of the season. There are promising signs and it’s been a good start.

“The gaffer has instilled that in us. We know some games we'll play really well for 90 minutes, and then others we'll play for 90 minutes like we had to in the second-half against Tranmere. But if we can come out on top at the end, that's the most important thing.”
