MK Dons SET participate in the Girls PL Kicks Tournament

MK Dons SET recently took part in the Premier League Girls Kicks tournament at Warwick University…

17 August 2023

Represented by eight girls within the U16s age group, MK Dons Sport & Education Trust participated in a Premier League Kicks tournament at Warwick University.

The girls played within the competition whilst they proudly brandished the Suzuki kit provided by our Title Partners.

The team had a ‘fantastic time’ during their day on the field despite their exit in the early stages.

Prior to the event, players also took part in a ‘Journals workshop’, which encouraged them to design and produce a journal for them to take home before the tournament took place.

MK Dons SET Inclusion Coach Mark Day, who accompanied the team alongside SET Coach Kieran McConnell said “I couldn’t have been prouder of all the players that participated on the day for their attitudes on and off the pitch.

“The participants thoroughly enjoyed the event, but the biggest smile came around when they were given Premier League goodie bags at the end of an enjoyable day.”

MK Dons SET would like to express their thanks to the Club’s Title Partner Suzuki, for the continuous support throughout all of their inclusion programmes. Also, a thank you to the Premier League for hosting a great tournament, which the players thrived off.
