Warren O’Hora spoke to the press after the Sky Bet League One clash against Exeter City at St James Park.
Exeter City claimed three points after Chieck Diabate’s goal decided the fixture in the Grecian’s favour. O’Hora admitted that the weekend’s performance ‘was not up to our standard’ and it was a 'tough afternoon' but the team look to rectify that on the training pitch.
When questioned about the defeat, the number five had this to say: “It was a tough afternoon and a tough place to come. We knew it would be a hard game, but we shot ourselves in the foot.
“We knew it would be difficult, but it certainly wasn’t the type of performance that we put in against Morecambe.
“We’ve made 14 new signings, we're still gelling after a few games in the league, we're a young squad and it will take time. We know that there are a lot of league games to come, and I’m sure something will click to get us on another run.
“We know what we need to do. We've got good players, and we all want to get better, we have to bounce-back next week.”
MK Dons have played nine fixtures in the opening month of their 2022/2023 campaign, when asked about that, O’Hora added:
“We're all hurting, and we all know it's not good enough, but we haven't been on the training pitch much recently, it's been about a month with midweek games. We need to get back out there and tweak a few things, and I'm sure we'll do that.”
