Harvie: Give my all

Daniel Harvie spoke to the press ahead of the Exeter City clash…

Daniel Harvie put pen to paper and extended his stay at Stadium MK, ahead of this weekend’s trip to St James Park.

Before looking ahead to the Exeter fixture, the press questioned Daniel Harvie on his contract extension with MK Dons. Harvie joined the club in late July 2020, since then the number 21 has amounted a total of 86 appearances and was instrumental in Liam Manning’s side which achieved a play-off placement.

When questioned about the contract Harvie said ‘I’m delighted to get it done’

“It was something that’s been spoken about these past few weeks, so I’m pleased to get it over the line. I was in and out of the squad during my first season but since then I’ve done the same thing every day, which is to come in work hard and progress.

“It was getting close to the end of summer, and I didn’t have a contract, So I wasn’t sure what was going to happen. Having that contract does give me a bit of ease but that won’t change my work ethic, I will still give it my all and play as well as I can in every game.”

Exeter have lost just one league game at home this season against Cheltenham Town, the other fixtures resulted in victories against Wycombe Wanderers and Port Vale.

Liam Manning’s men travel to St James Park in the hope that they can continue their winning momentum on the road, from their 4-0 success against Morecambe at the Muzuma Stadium. When questioned about the upcoming fixture, Harvie said:

“They’re a goalscoring threat, they’ve done well since they were promoted. It will be a tough game, as every game in this league is. Our aim is to go there, play our football and claim three points. It’s a challenge we’re looking forward to.”
