Darragh Burns achieved a nomination for Carabao Cup’s Round Two ‘Player of the Round.’

MK Dons player Darragh Burns, was admitted into a shortlist beside three other players to be crowned the ‘Player of the Round’ within the second stage of the Carabao Cup competition.

Burns impressed many with his performance against Watford, the number 20 provided a goal and an assist in a 2-0 victory over the Sky Bet Championship side.

The winger assisted Matt Dennis for the opening goal at the brink of half-time. Then, within the second-half, Burns scored his debut goal for the Dons at Vicarage Road. This allowed MK Dons to progress into the third-round of the competition, where they will face Morecambe at Stadium MK.

The number 20 was shortlisted alongside Sheffield Wednesday’s Dele-Bashiru, Lincoln City’s Jordan Wright and Crawley Town’s Tom Nichols for a chance to claim the ‘Player of the Round’ award.
