Charlie Bill’s Women suffer a 5-1 defeat to the hands of Ipswich Town, who remain unbeaten in six games.
First-Half
MK Dons began the game on the front-foot, which allowed the side to create numerous chances early on. However, Charlie Bill’s Women were unable to capitalise on the momentum they gained.
Ipswich Town fought their way back into the match and this allowed the hosts to break the deadlock after 30 minutes of play with an unstoppable free-kick.
Although the opposition opened the scoring, the Dons continued to battle in the effort to bring the game back level. On the brink of half time, the tractor girls increased their lead by a further two goals.
Once Ipswich had doubled their lead in the 45 minute, MK Dons had lost focus and allowed the Tractor Girls to score a third within the time added before the interval.
Second-Half
Ten minutes into the second 45, the hosts made it four. The Dons’ defence failed to clear the ball and Ipswich punished the travelling team. A ruthless display from the Tractor Girls, who then increased their lead to five shortly after.
MK Dons substitute Leoni Miceli scored a consolation in the final ten minutes of play, but that didn’t prevent Charlie Bill’s Women from suffering their biggest defeat of the season so far.
