Matt Smith’s Wales marked their first FIFA World Cup appearance since 1958 with a 1-1 draw against the United States of America.
Smith was an unused substitute for Wales, who came from behind to secure a point from their Group B opener with the USA. Gareth Bale’s 82nd-minute penalty earned the draw, following Timothy Weah’s first-half opener.
Wales are back in action on Friday when they face Iran at the Ahmed bin Ali Stadium, kick-off 10am GMT.
Smith will be looking to make his first appearance of the tournament and become the first MK Dons player to appear in a FIFA World Cup match.
