Matt Smith has joined up with the Wales squad ahead of the FIFA World Cup, which begins this weekend in Qatar.
Smith, who was named in Robert Page’s 26-man squad last week, reported to Wales’ team base in Cardiff at the weekend and is set to fly out to Qatar on Tuesday.
Wales’ first FIFA World Cup match takes place in a week’s time against the United States of America. Wales will also face Iran (Fri 25 Nov) and England (Tue 29 Nov) in their other two Group B matches.
Smith is the first MK Dons player to be part of a FIFA World Cup while contracted to the Club. The midfielder will, of course, be unavailable for MK Dons during his time at the tournament.
