MK Dons are among the 14 teams participating in the Junior section of the 2022 STATSports SuperCupNI – formerly known as the Milk Cup.
The tournament will see Under-16 sides compete between Sunday 24 July and Friday 29 July at 17 venues across Northern Ireland, Causeway Coast and Glens, Mid and East Antrim and Antrim and Newtownabbey.
A number of the UK’s biggest young stars have featured in previous versions of SuperCupNI such as Manchester United trio Anthony Elanga, Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho.
Man Utd are one of the 14 teams in this season’s tournament alongside MK Dons, as well as Rangers and Leeds United. There are also representatives from the USA, Mexico and the Caribbean.
The draw for the 2022 STATSports SuperCupNI Junior Section will take place which takes tonight (Thursday) from 7pm live on the Belfast Live Sport Facebook page.
MK Dons' participation comes following the news of an exciting new partnership between the Football Club and the South Belfast Youth Football League.
The initiative will give the opportunity for local young players to attend MK Dons via the SBYFL's select side programme, with coaching programmes also part of the project.
The partnership will give MK Dons the chance to network in Northern Ireland by travelling across the Irish sea with various squads within their academy for friendly games and tournaments.
