Report: Luton Town 2-1 Under-18s

Luton Town claim a 2-1 victory in our U18s Youth Alliance Merit League Two clash…

29 March 2022

Tommy Blennerhassett successfully found the back of the net, although Luton’s late winner handed MK Dons their third straight league loss, this result meant that the Dons drop to ninth within the table.

The Hatters have been a difficult opponent to face having only lost one out of their three league games played, the young Dons looked set to hand them their first draw, until a late Luton goal decided the match in their favour.

A late free-kick located the Dons box and a scramble occurred in desperation to clear the danger, unfortunately Luton reacted quicker and were able to tap in a late winner. John Bitting’s team were strong throughout the match and were disappointed to have their efforts snubbed, by a last minute goal from their local rivals.

MK Dons: Sandford, Wood, Kane, Lewis-Burgess, Ogundega (Anderson 75), Waller, Anker (Adepouu 63), Tripp (Clark-Anderson 75), Blennerhassett, Daffern, Olaleye

Goals: Blennerhassett (37)
