Preview: Under-18s and Women

18 March 2022

MK Dons Under-18s take on Northampton Town this weekend while MK Dons Women are in action on Sunday against Plymouth Argyle.

The Under-18s face Northampton at home in their latest EFL Youth Alliance Merit League 2 fixture, knowing a result in their favour could potentially see them rise three places in the league table.

Northampton have produced two wins and one defeat out of their previous three games since the league started - results which have them placed fourth in the league table. A victory for the Cobblers could see them ascend to the top of the table, depending on other results within the league.

MK Dons Under-18s narrowly lost 1-0 to Newport County last time out. The Dons fought hard but Jack Karadogan’s deciding goal awarded the Exiles all three points.

The Women, meanwhile, travel to Plymouth, who are one place ahead of the Dons in the table, with only one point separating the two teams. An MK Dons victory would ensure that the Women’s team climb above the Pilgrims and out of the relegation zone.

Charlie Bill’s side are full of confidence after they triumphed over second-place Oxford United last weekend. Sofia Stovold secured the big three points with her deciding second-half goal.
