The Club's online ticket providers, tickets.com, have provided the following comment on why some supporters have experienced recent card payment issues...
"Due to upcoming changes with Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) which is starting to be rolled out across the UK soon, TDC have been monitoring the situation and very recently noticed random declines occurring.
"It appears some card issuers may have already started to implement their own changes ahead of any mandated requirements and are most likely causing failures.
"Working with our payment consultants we have tested an alternative payment route using our US processor and found the potential for this was mitigated."
