Jamie Cumming expressed his feelings with iFollow MK Dons after Saturday’s win over Rotherham United.

Liam Manning’s team were reduced to ten players after just 25 minutes at the AESSEAL New York and this was followed by a penalty which the Millers capitalised on.

The Dons, however, fought their way back in order to triumph over Rotherham and hand them their first home defeat since November and their streak of 11 games unbeaten. Not only, that also increased their own unbeaten run to nine games.

Cumming had this to say about the match: “I think the reaction from that (red card) incident was brilliant, we started to settle down and we started to pass the ball.

“I always thought that if we could get the ball down and play, then we could create chances up the top end of the pitch.

“The character of the group is amazing. We never give up.”

The number one also added: “The fight we displayed in that second half was top class, everyone was brilliant.”

Cumming then gave an insight into Manning’s half-time team talk, which helped rally the players in order for them to perform so well throughout the second half.

“He just told us to keep our heads and keep playing our football and that we will then get the chances, and that’s exactly what happened.

“Everybody knew that if we kept kicking it long, we would have no chance, so we kept on passing the ball. We then got our goals and defended very well.”

Finally, Cumming complimented the away support which helped boost the team to victory, saying: “The fans were fantastic. The away support is always brilliant and It’s even better if we can reward them with results like this.”
