Matt Smith claimed his 17th international cap on Wednesday, featuring as a substitute in Wales’ UEFA Nations League encounter with the Netherlands.
The MK Dons midfielder was brought off the bench with 22 minutes left to play as Wales looked to fight back from a 1-0 deficit. While they did find an equaliser in the 92nd minute, Rob Page’s side then conceded a second just 100 seconds later as the Dutch claimed victory.
Smith will look to add to his 17 senior international appearances this Saturday evening when Wales host Belgium in Cardiff. They then face the Netherlands for a second time next Tuesday night in Rotterdam.
