Robson returns to Stadium MK, after his successful loan spell with the club during his 2021/2022 campaign.

The former Blackpool player mentioned he was ‘over the moon’ to be back at MK Dons, when questioned about his permanent transfer, the midfielder said: “Everyone knew I wanted to come back.

“I came back, to work with the manager, the coaches, as well as the very good players here. I'm very ambitious and I want to get promoted. I’m sure the lads will all have the same mindset.

“It was frustrating that I had to go back, but I was professional at my other club. I left in good stead, I was loving my football here and I really gelled with the fans, as well as the team. I was in good form, and I had a good relationship with everyone.

“Unfortunately, I couldn’t come back in January, it was tough – anyone within that same position would’ve found it tough, but it’s a part of the game. I worked hard, kept my head down, and I always believed in myself. Thankfully, it’s a fresh opportunity for me, with a quality set up. It’s a perfect fit for myself.”

After the Don expressed how ‘delighted’ he was to be back, the questions then shifted focus to the 2022/2023 pre-season. When asked about pre-season and the season ahead, Robson replied:

“When the weather's like this, it's nice! Pre-season is always a tough time, but it needs to be done, and it leaves you in good stead for the rest of the season. It’s happy days, now that pre-season is underway.

“The manager said that we cannot have any hangovers from last season, I was willing the boys on all the way, and I hoped they would get promoted, but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. It would be easy to think how close we got, but it's a fresh year now. It's important to focus on the positives.

“We know there is a lot of hard work to be done and it won't be easy, but I think we've got a team who will have a good chance. I'm looking forward to a promotion push this season.”
