The midfield player spoke with iFollow MK Dons, regarding the team’s pre-season, as well as his international success, over the summer period.
The Welshman transferred to Stadium MK on deadline day, during the 2022 January transfer window. The former Manchester City player expressed how ‘enjoyable’ his summer and pre-season has been.
Smith has represented his country on numerous occasions, during the summer, he helped the Dragons to secure qualification, for the Qatar 2022/23 world cup competition. When questioned about this, Smith said: “It’s a fantastic feeling, it means so much to the Welsh people.

“It’s one of those moments that you are forever proud of, I couldn’t have imagined a better summer.”
After his international success, Smith was questioned about returning to the Dons for the pre-season camp. The midfielder replied:
“It’s going really well, it’s been great and enjoyable to see all the lads again, as well as a couple of new faces. It feels like we’ve been here longer, the relationships and bonds you have, with the new players especially, grows so much faster. It’s a team bonding trip, as well as training.
“The new lads have been fantastic, and they have fit straight in, everyone is in it together. It’s been an enjoyable three days, apart from the running.” – Smith jokingly said.

Although only appearing four times this season, the number seven expressed his optimism for the upcoming campaign. smith, had this to say:
“Liam Manning has been clear that this season is a fresh start, and that’s all you can ask for as a player. Of course, I would like to play some more games this season, but I think everyone here wants that. It’s important that I get my head down and continue to work hard.
“You want to be involved in games and the pre-season work helps, we’re doing everything we can to be in the best shape, before that first match against Cambridge United. It’s been a positive camp, and everyone is really looking forward to the first fixture.”
