MK Dons Women made it back-to-back league victories with an impressive 5-0 triumph over Hounslow at Stadium MK.
Charlie Bill’s side, who won their final game of 2021, kicked off the New Year in style thanks to a brace from Chez Albert as well as goals from Marianne Taho, Nicole Pepper and Sofia Stovold.
It was Taho who broke the deadlock just prior to the half-hour mark, finishing from range with the first half’s only goal.
The Dons made the perfect start to the second half, doubling their lead through Laura Bright, who met a corner from Nicole Pepper.
Pepper provided the assist for the third goal, delivering another excellent corner, this time for Stovold to head home.
Six minutes later, the Dons had their fourth courtesy of Albert, finishing off a well-worked attack by Bill’s team.
Albert then rounded off the scoring with the pick of the five goals – a long-range drive into the top right-hand corner to make it 5-0 and secure a second straight three points for the Dons, who are now up to 11th and just four points adrift of safety in the FAWNL Southern Premier Division.
