Cumming: I want to contribute wins

Goalkeeper talks about his aims during MK Dons loan spell...

19 January 2022

Jamie Cumming hopes to contribute to more MK Dons victories during his loan spell at Stadium MK.

The goalkeeper, who will spend the remainder of the 2021/22 campaign with the Dons, was handed his first start at Fratton Park last weekend and played a key role as Liam Manning’s secured a 2-1 victory, producing a number of saves, including a stunning late stop to deny Conor Ogilve.

“Playing competitive football week in, week out is what is all about,” Cumming said on his arrival at Stadium MK. The pressure of having to get three points is something I thrive on and hopefully I can help this Club do a lot of that and achieve its goals for this season.”

He added: “This felt like the right next move for me in my career, especially with the way the team likes to play – it will give me an opportunity to show a side of my game that I would say is a strength.”

“I am really excited. This is a great opportunity for me at a Club with great ambition and I am looking forward to helping the team as much as I can.”
