Kesler Hayden: Settling in

Loanee

26 February 2022

Kaine Kesler Hayden sat down with iFollow MK Dons ahead of today’s Sky Bet League One fixture against Bolton Wanderers.

The Aston Villa loanee made is third appearance and second start for MK Dons away at Charlton Athletic on Tuesday and he contributed not only an impressive defensive shift, but also a goal in order to aid the 2-0 victory over the Addicks.

When questioned about the start of his loan spell with MK Dons, the number 29 had this to say:

“I’ve settled in really well; the lads are all so welcoming. It took no less than a couple of days to feel at home here.

“The training has been great. The way the team plays football and how we want to play on the field is perfect for me, it’s exactly how I want to play.

“Not only is it great to watch, but it’s also great to be around and be a part of.”

Kaine added: “I came here knowing that the team are doing well, and that they’re in a good place. I’m delighted that we’re doing so well.”

When asked about what it’s like to be managed and developed by Liam Manning and his staff, Kesler Hayden responded with: “He’s a great coach, he has helped me a lot. Especially off the pitch with analysis etc.

“All the coaches across the board are helping me so much, not only developing me now but also preparing me for my future for when I eventually go back to my parent club, Aston Villa.”

Although placed tenth in the Sky Bet League One table, Bolton replicate MK Dons’ recent form, having lost only one game in their previous 10 matches.

Looking toward this afternoon’s game against The Trotters, Kesler Hayden stated: “We respect the opposition, but we go into every game with the belief that we can win. That’s exactly how we’re going into this fixture.”

The number 29 then expressed his appreciation to the fans whilst reflecting on his most-recent game at The Valley, saying: “The fans were amazing and you could see that in the Charlton game. You could hear them chanting and singing the entire time.

‘When I scored, they all sprinted to the bottom of the stands and celebrated with me. The fans are great!”
