Jamie Cumming labelled Saturday’s 1-0 success away at Wycombe Wanderers as a ‘big win’ for MK Dons.

Cumming & Co travelled to Adams Park and shut out the Chairboys in a victory which lifted them above their Buckinghamshire rivals and into fourth place in the Sky Bet League One table.

“It's a big win,” said the Chelsea loanee, who making his third successive start since arriving on loan from Stamford Bridge.

“It's a tough place to come. They play a direct style so we knew we'd have to deal with that before we could get it down and play.

“We played some good football in the first half but the second was more a case of grinding it out, although they didn't pose too many threats, to be honest.

“We want to play good football, but we've also got players who will work hard and that showed. We defended brilliantly and limited them to next to nothing.”

On keeping back-to-back clean sheets, Cumming added: “I'm buzzing. I've not had many this season so hopefully we can keep it going because if we can keep getting clean sheets, we'll be right up there come the end of the season.”
