Launton Under-12s will be taking over Stadium MK on Saturday for MK Dons’ League One clash with Burton Albion.
Launton will be welcoming the Dons and Burton Albion on to the pitch by waving flags while, at half-time, the players will parade around the pitch celebrating their achievements so far this season - make sure you give them a cheer as they do so!
Launton are a village grassroots football team located on the outskirts of Bicester. Managed by Ross and assistant manager Graeme, the Under-12s play their football in the Oxford Youth Football League B Division and currently find themselves as a promotion-challenging team hoping to progress into Division A.
The highlight of the season so far was a very convincing 8-1 victory, where the team showed some excellent Tiki-Taka style football to win in style. This huge result has helped the team look forward to a promotion-push after Christmas while they will also be competing in the Second Round of the Cup this Sunday morning, with a home tie against some strong opposition.
The majority of Launton’s football is played in Oxfordshire but they have, more recently, found themselves travelling around different counties and the surrounding area to play against different opponents.
