Edward ‘Junior’ Gyamfi finds himself on the scoresheet, Ronnie Sandford and Brooklyn Ilunga embark in their first Boxing Day fixtures respectively, Jack Davies returns to Stadium MK.
Junior has started for Bedford Town in their previous two victories. Not only has the young Don found himself in the starting XI, but he has also contributed a goal in each of his recent games.
Gyamfi scored the winning goal against Barwell on the brink of the first half, which secured a 2-1 victory for the Eagles. Bedford Town then put on an impressive Boxing Day display to secure a 6-1 win over AFC Rushden & Diamonds, the Dons loanee netted the fifth for Bedford and grabbed back-to-back goals over the Christmas period.
Ware bested Hertford by a narrow 2-1 score-line. Sandford started his first-ever senior Boxing Day match and will now look ahead, alongside his team, to the next league fixture at the beginning of the new year.
Hemel Hempstead suffered back-to-back defeats during the Christmas period. Brooklyn Ilunga and the Tudors were knocked out of the FA Vase Trophy, following a narrow 3-2 defeat against Maidenhead United.
Ilunga, alongside his team, then suffered a 3-1 defeat against St Albans in a National League South skirmish. However, since he started in both matches, the number 11 now has over 15 appearances for his loan club.
Jack Davies’ second loan with Concord Rangers has come to a conclusion. In total, Davies amounted a total of 11 appearances and ten starts for the Beach Boys.
The young defender will remain at Stadium MK whilst he receives treatment for a recent injury that he suffered whilst on loan.
